The dinner where you finally
stay at the table.

Twelve strangers. One kitchen. No job titles until dessert. This is where real conversation still happens.

The Experience
What Is Sobremesa
In Latin culture, sobremesa is the time you spend at the table after the meal is done. The conversation that has nowhere to be.

Most of us have stopped having that conversation. We eat fast, check our phones, schedule the next meeting. We collect LinkedIn connections and forget each other by Monday.

Sobremesa is a curated dinner experience designed to fix that. Twelve people who do not know each other, cooking together, eating together, talking about things that actually matter. No one knows what anyone does for a living until after the meal.

What happens when you remove titles? You see the person. Every dinner, without fail, something remarkable occurs. People who would never have spoken at a conference end up exchanging numbers because they are actually the same person.

This is not networking. This is the thing networking is a pale imitation of.

How It Works
01
You Are Invited
Guests are personally selected or nominated. No public waitlist, no algorithmic lottery. Every seat at the table is intentional. We read your profile and place you next to someone who will surprise you.
02
You Cook Together
First names only. No last names, no titles, no company names. You make dinner together as strangers. Something shifts when you hand someone a knife and ask them to chop. It is impossible to stay surface-level while cooking.
03
The Reveal
After the meal, the table tries to guess what each person does for a living. You find out who you just bonded with. Nobel laureates. Artists. Surgeons. Founders. The person you thought was a teacher turns out to be an architect of cities.
The Details
12
Guests Per Dinner
Exactly twelve. Not one more.
2h
Time at the Table
Two hours minimum. Often three.
0
Job Titles Discussed
Until after the meal. That's the rule.
1
Industry Per Seat
No two guests from the same field.
The Rules

Three rules.
No exceptions.

  • 01No last names until after the reveal. You are just your first name tonight.
  • 02No professional titles. You cannot say what you do for a living until the table guesses.
  • 03The evening is off the record. What happens at the table stays there. No live social media. No tagging without permission.
  • AlsoNo plus-ones. Seats are assigned with intention. The balance is the point.
